Computer Games: Design

This unit is all about how games are planned and designed. You won’t be coding or making artwork — you’ll be learning how to come up with game ideas, plan them out, and explain how they will work. You’ll look at games that already exist, come up with your own ideas, and plan a game you will make later on.

What will be covered?

You will learn about:

  • Different types of games

  • What hardware and controls games use

  • How games work (gameplay and rules)

  • Stories, characters, and worlds in games
