Fit for Purpose is a way of saying ‘the website does what it is meant to do’. If a website meets the end-user requirements and the functional requirements that were set during the analysis stage, it is classed as Fit for Purpose.

How to check if a website is fit for purpose

To check the fitness for purpose of a website, the developer should go through each end-user and functional requirement.

If each requirement is met, then the website can be regarded as fit for purpose.

The website is fit for purpose as it meets all the end-user and functional requirements.

If any requirements are not met, then the website can be regarded as not fit for purpose.

The website is not fit for purpose as the following end-user and functional requirements have not been met.
