Organising and Promoting Events

Organising and promoting an esports event involves careful planning, teamwork, and decision-making. Throughout this unit, you will learn how to plan, run, and review an esports event from start to finish.

When planning an event, you must make key decisions such as which game will be played, what format the event will use, and who the event is designed for. These choices affect how long the event lasts, how many people can take part, and what equipment and space are required.

You will also explore how esports events are promoted, including creating advertisements and logos to attract participants and audiences. In addition, the unit looks at the role of sponsors and budgeting, helping you understand how events can be supported financially and how to make sensible decisions when working with a small or no budget.

To successfully complete this unit, you and your group will be required to organise, promote, and run an esports event. This includes planning the event, managing registrations, delivering the event itself, and reviewing how successful it was once it has finished. Running a real event allows you to apply everything you have learned and demonstrate your understanding of esports event organisation.
